  1. Brew It Up! Personal Brewery & Grill

    Good Beer, Bad Smell

As I ride my bicycle home from work every day down H Street, the lovely aroma of brewing ale catches the wind.  After months of passing the restaurant and resisting all temptations, my wife and I decided to dine at the Brew It Up!  in downtown Sacramento.

Unfortunately, we had arrived on a night where absolutely no brewing was taking place and the smell of damp copper vats could be recognized.  This aroma overpowered any smells from the kitchen and even the food at the table.

Note to self:  visit brewery when beer is being brewed.

  2. Luna's Cafe & Juice Bar

    Comment
Luna's is a Sacramento institution. This has long been the only spot in town to scratch your itch for live poetry and spoken word. Nestled in a shoe box-sized location in the thick of things, across the street from Simon's and the old Hukilau, special events are guaranteed to be packed-so get there early and enjoy some nosh!

alternative transportation options for Sacramento and citizen driven programs to create change around the region

Hey there Gridsters,

So there's a movement afoot to capture the minds of local people so that together we can set the city and the region's agenda for alternative transportation options.

It's not enough to give lip service to a green agenda. We need pragmatic, executable ideas driven by the people to make significant change.

Here are 2 projects that The Grid Guru is involved with and inspired by at the moment. We hope that you will join us and create your own proposa
