The Family Room Restaurant is owned and operated by award-winning Chef Evan Elsberry and his wife, Eli Roth, with the assistance of Junior Chef Evelyn Elsberry (she is 4 years old).
Chef Evan is known in East Sacramento for his fabulous wine dinners and exceptional Mother’s Day brunches. He has most recently served as Chef at Andiamo! on Folsom Blvd. Prior to that he was the Chef at the Limelight Cafe and has worked at The Clarion Hotel, The Delta King and America Live.
After taking second place at the 2003 California State Fair in the Professional Chef Challenge, Chef Evan moved up to first place in 2004. The judges were impressed with both the Wine Merchant Steak that was awarded first place in the preliminary round and the Filet Mignon that won the final round
